Ruby began with a simple idea: make better compression socks for the women who spend their days caring for everyone else.

Founded by a nurse, Ruby was built around a firsthand understanding of long shifts, tired legs, and the importance of products that work as hard as the people wearing them. What started as a solution for healthcare professionals quickly grew into something bigger.

We discovered that support isn't just for nurses.

It's for the mom chasing toddlers through the grocery store. The traveler catching an early flight. The Pilates enthusiast finding strength one class at a time. The woman standing through a twelve-hour shift. The adventurer exploring somewhere new. The friend showing up for the people she loves. The roller skater out to spread sunshine.

Every woman is moving through life in her own way, and every journey deserves thoughtful support.

Today, Ruby creates women's compression socks, grip socks, and everyday socks designed to move with you through work, wellness, travel, recovery, and everything in between. From compression socks for nurses and other women who spend long hours on their feet to grip socks for the studio and everyday styles for wherever life takes you, we believe comfort should never mean sacrificing style, and performance should always come with personality.

Meet Emily
Founder, Ruby Socks

I’m Emily, the founder of Ruby.

I spent nearly two decades in nursing before building a sock company, which makes more sense than it probably sounds. Years spent caring for people taught me a lot about what women carry, how much we ask of ourselves, and how meaningful the smallest comforts can be on a very long day.

Ruby grew from that understanding, but it was never meant to be just a nursing brand. It’s for women moving through all kinds of lives: working, creating, traveling, caregiving, starting over, trying something new, or simply getting through a Tuesday.

I wanted to build something useful and beautiful, but also something with a little more soul than a drawer full of socks probably requires.

Apparently, I have strong feelings about socks.
